The anime will star Saori Hayami as Rika Honjoji and Kentarō Kumagai as Takuya Ohara. And get this – HoneyWorks feat. HaKoniwalily will be performing the opening theme song “Kirakira” (Sparkling), while GOHOBI will be performing the ending theme song “Tsumari wa” (In Short)!

The cast also includes Hiroshi Ikehata, who’s directing the anime at Ashi Production, and a talented team of writers, composers, and sound designers.

But what’s the story all about, you ask? Well, Takuya and Rika are coworkers in a travel agency in Tokyo who are both single and introverted. However, their job is looking to staff an office in Siberia, and non-married employees are the first to be considered. Rika comes up with a clever plan – if they pretend to be getting married in a year, they can stay in Tokyo! But will their fake relationship turn into something real?

As the two quiet coworkers “fake” a relationship, will they find love in the process?

The manga was launched in Shogakukan’s Weekly Big Comic Spirits magazine in March 2020 and ended in its 11th volume in July 2023. The manga also inspired a live-action series adaptation that debuted in October 2022.
