Studio Pierrot announces new magical girl TV anime in production
The magical girl fans are in for a treat! Bandai Namco Filmworks and anime studio Pierrot have just announced a brand new, as-yet untitled magical girl television anime series. And to get us all excited, they’ve shared an announcement video featuring highlights from the studio’s previous magical girl anime shows!
Check out this intriguing illustration, which simply reads, “I want you to sing it again.”

It’s worth noting that this announcement was made on the 40th anniversary of the broadcast of the final episode of Magical Angel Creamy Mami, the studio’s first magical girl anime series.
Magical Angel Creamy Mami originally aired for 52 episodes in 1983 to 1984, followed by Magical Fairy Persia, Magical Star Magical Emi, Magical Idol Pastel Yumi, and Fancy Lala. We can’t wait to see what this new series has in store for us!
