Studio Doga Kobo Producer’s Shiunji Anime: A New Series Dedicated to the Shiunji Family children
Get Ready for a Sizzling New Anime!
Kadokawa has just announced that Doga Kobo, the studio behind Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian, Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night, and Oshi no Ko seasons 1 and 2, is taking the reins on the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Reiji Miyajima’s manga, The Shiunji Family Children! And to celebrate, they’ve released a tantalizing character silhouette visual, with more details to be revealed soon!
But that’s not all! Kadokawa also acquired Doga Kobo earlier this month, and Yen Press has licensed the manga, with the second volume set to release in English on September 17. The story follows the love and relationships within the Shiunji family, and it’s shaping up to be a wild ride!

Yen Press describes the story as: “The love between brother and sister. The love between man and woman. That which is most forbidden is most unyielding. The two sons and five daughters of the Shiunji family shine like brilliant gems, each with intelligence and beauty in equal measure. And with the pedigree of their wealthy father behind them, how could they not be the talk of the town?”
Miyajima launched the manga on his Fanbox account in February 2022, and it’s since become a fan favorite. The series has also taken a hiatus to allow Miyajima to maintain a steady drawing schedule, but it’s set to return soon!
And if you’re a fan of Miyajima’s work, you might be interested to know that his Rent-A-Girlfriend manga has also been adapted into a TV anime, with a third season premiering in July 2023 and a fourth season set to release in 2025!
