Square Enix’s Yoshinori Kitase, Naoki Hamaguchi, and Teruki Endo to Appear at Otakon 2024
Get Ready for a Dose of Japanese Pop Culture at Otakon 2024!
The staff for Otakon 2024 has just dropped some exciting news! They’re bringing in some heavy hitters from the world of Japanese gaming and anime. Say hello to Yoshinori Kitase, the brand manager for Square Enix’s beloved Final Fantasy franchise, along with director Naoki Hamaguchi and battle director Teruki Endo!
Kitase has worked on some of the most iconic games in the Final Fantasy series, including the original Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VII Remake, and the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. He’s also worked on other notable titles like the SaGa series.
Hamaguchi, on the other hand, has directed Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and co-directed Final Fantasy VII Remake. He’s also worked on the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy.
Endo, the battle director for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, has also worked on the battle sections of Monster Hunter 3, Monster Hunter 4, and Monster Hunter World.
But that’s not all! Otakon 2024 is also hosting a slew of other talented individuals, including Studio Trigger president Masahiko Otsuka, animators Aoi Abe and Sae Ōtani, BL manga artist Kyōko Aiba, rock band FLOW, and manga artist Hinoki Kino. Voice actors Hideo Ishikawa and Uki Satake, as well as director Hiroshi Nagahama, will also be in attendance. And if that’s not enough, the staff from Studio Orange, including CG director Akihiko Orikasa, director Kensuke Yamamoto, producer Yoshihiro Watanabe, and chief producer Kiyotaka Waki, will also be joining the party!
