Singer-Songwriter Riria Performs New Ranma 1/2 Anime Ending Song

Rumiko Takahashi’s beloved manga series, Ranma 1/2, is making a comeback as a new anime series! The official website announced that singer-songwriter Riria will be performing the anime’s ending theme song “Anta Nante”, which she wrote specifically for the anime.

Director Kōnosuke Uda, who is also known for his work on One Piece: Dead End, drew a special illustration to thank Riria for her amazing contribution. The illustration shows a tender moment between Ranma and Akane, highlighting the complex and loving relationship between the two characters.

Akane’s voice actress, Noriko Hidaka, expressed her gratitude towards Riria, stating that she felt like crying when she heard the song’s lyrics “Anta Nante”. Fans can look forward to experiencing Akane’s emotions in a whole new way with the new anime series.

The new anime series is set to premiere on October 5 on the NTV channel in Japan and will be available exclusively on Netflix after its broadcast.

Cast members including Kappei Yamaguchi, Megumi Hayashibara, Noriko Hidaka, Kōichi Yamadera, Rei Sakuma, Minami Takayama, and Kikuko Inoue will reprise their roles from the original anime series.

Get ready for a fresh take on the classic story! Director Kōnosuke Uda is leading the production team at MAPPA, with series scripts by Kimiko Ueno and character designs by Hiromi Taniguchi.

Rumiko Takahashi first debuted the manga in Shogakukan‘s Weekly Shōnen Sunday magazine in 1987 and ended it in 1996. The manga inspired various adaptations, including two movies, OVAs, and live-action television specials.
