“Shakunetsu Kabaddi” Web Manga Comes to a Close
Goodbye, Shakunetsu Kabaddi: The Flickering Flame Fades Out!
Get ready to bid adieu to one of the most intense and captivating sports manga series out there! Shakunetsu Kabaddi (Burning Kabaddi), the thrilling nine-year run created by Hajime Musashino, has finally come to an end with chapter 293 on the Ura Sunday website.
This stunning manga first graced our digital screens on the MangaONE app in July 2015, and subsequently made its way to the Ura Sunday website. If you’re itching for a physical copy, don’t worry – Shogakukan shipped the 28th volume on July 11.
And if that wasn’t enough, a 12-episode anime series was produced by TMS Entertainment, premiering in Spring 2021, and Crunchyroll was kind enough to simulcast the series with English subtitles.
Synopsis:
Meet Tatsuya Yoigoshi, a former national soccer sensation who’s traded his cleats for a digital mic. Once a livewstreaming superstar, Yoigoshi now attends Noukin High School. His distaste for sports is strong, until he meets Souma Azemichi, the enthusiastic captain of the kabaddi team.
After Souma disrupts Yoigoshi’s livestream, the latter reluctantly agrees to give kabaddi a shot. The outcome? An intense, sweat-drenched battle of wills. But can you guess who emerges victorious?
