Get Ready for the Next Battle: Mato Seihei no Slave Season 2 Announced!Exciting news, anime fans! The official website for the TV anime series Mato Seihei no Slave (Chained Soldier) has just revealed the main staff for the highly anticipated second season! Director Masafumi Tamura (Sekai Saikou no Ansatsusha, Isekai Kizoku ni Tensei suru), known for his work on action-packed anime, will be at the helm once again. Character Design is being handled by Keiya Nakano (Keijo!!!!!!!!), and the production is being handled by Passione.
For those who might need a refresher, the first season was a thrilling ride, with 12 episodes of non-stop action airing during the Winter 2024 season. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime and simulcast it on HIDIVE for our international friends.
Mato Seihei no Slave is an action fantasy series based on the manga of the same name by Takahiro and Youhei Takemura, which has been serialized on Shounen Jump+ web magazine since January 2019. The manga has already reached its 16th volume, with the latest installment dropping on July 4. And for our English-speaking friends, Yen Press has got you covered, having licensed the manga for worldwide release. The seventh volume has shipped, and the eighth volume is scheduled for release on July 23.
