Dark Auction – Hitler no Isan is a new game developed by Kohske, the creator of the popular manga series Gangsta., and Rika Suzuki, the writer behind the Trace Memory and Hotel Dusk: Room 215 series.

The game was previously scheduled to launch for Nintendo Switch and Steam in 2024, with audio in Japanese and English, and text in English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese. But now, we’ll have to wait a little longer to get our hands on it.

But what’s the game all about? According to the crowdfunding page, Dark Auction – Hitler no Isan is an authentic mystery adventure game where you play as Noah, a young man living with his eccentric father who’s obsessed with finding items related to Hitler. You’ll enter a strange auction in an old castle, where guests can only bid for items with their memories. Alongside other bidders, you’ll work to solve the mysteries hidden in the auction items, all while uncovering your own father’s secrets.

The game stars Kohske, who has been working on an irregular schedule due to health complications. The game’s development was funded through a campaign on Campfire, a Japanese crowdfunding site, which raised 9,289,500 yen (about US$59,000). The campaign’s goal was originally 2 million yen (about US$12,700).
