Ranma ½ to Receive a Fresh Anime Reboot
Get ready for a blast from the past! Publisher Shogakukan has just launched an official website for a brand new anime adaptation of the classic manga series, Ranma ½, created by the legendary Rumiko Takahashi!
Takahashi’s beloved romantic comedy manga originally ran in Weekly Shounen Sunday from 1987 to 1996, with a total of 38 volumes. The series has been re-released in new editions over the years, and VIZ Media has licensed the manga for English-speaking audiences.
But that’s not all! Studio Deen produced a 161-episode television anime adaptation from 1989 to 1992, followed by multiple movies and original video animations. And now, it seems that a new anime is on the horizon!
According to the official website, more information about the new anime will be revealed in a livestream on the official X account on July 17 at 6:00 p.m. JST. Stay tuned for updates!
