PuniRunes anime gets 2nd season in October

Get ready for more adorably soft and squishy fun! Takara Tomy has just announced that the anime of its beloved PuniRunes toyline will be getting a second season!

In October, the new season will premiere on TV Tokyo and affiliated channels, introducing the adorable character Tomorun to the mix!

Recap: the first season of PuniRunes aired from October 2022 to March 2023, bringing the daily life of these lovable, soft, and squishy creatures to life. The anime also follows Yuka, a fourth-grade girl who loves soft, squishy things – just like PuniRunes!

PuniRunes is more than just a digital pet – you can even pet the soft creature inside through a special hole in the toy! Talk about interaction!

Catch the excitement as Kunihiko Yuyama (Fairy Princess Minky Momo, Pokémon) takes the reins as chief director, along with director Kentaro Yamaguchi (OLM Digital), and series scripts by Gigaemon Ichikawa (Chikasugi Idol Akae-chan, The Fruit of Evolution: Before I Knew It, My Life Had It Made, A Galaxy Next Door)! And let’s not forget Sayuri Ichiishi (Pokémon, Tamagotchi!) for the character design and Nanahira for the catchy theme song “Puni Puni PuniRunes Punix Version”!
