Pierrot rebrands 2nd studio as Pierrot Films.

Pierrot Studios is shaking things up! The renowned anime studio has rebranded its second studio to Pierrot Films, with a mission to “make anime that wows”!

As of February 2024, Pierrot Films is officially part of the Pierrot family, and the two studios are working together to push each other to new heights. The motto? “Make anime that wows!”

Pierrot Films is already making waves with the production of the fourth season of Mr. Osomatsu.

Pierrot’s impressive history dates back to 1979, when founder Yūji Nunokawa set out to create some of the most beloved anime of all time. From The Wonderful Adventures of Nils to Naruto, Boruto, Tokyo Ghoul, Black Clover, and Bleach, Pierrot has left its mark on the industry.

Today, under the leadership of President and CEO Michiyuki Honma, Pierrot continues to push the boundaries of anime with new and exciting projects. Their latest announcement? A brand-new magical girl television anime series, the latest in a long line of magical girl shows from Pierrot, including Magical Angel Creamy Mami, Magical Fairy Persia, Magical Star Magical Emi, Magical Idol Pastel Yumi, and Fancy Lala.
