The wait is almost over for Otakon 2024, and the excitement is building! This year’s convention has just announced an incredible lineup of guests, and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us. First up, the producers of the highly-anticipated anime Blue Miburo, Hiroya Nakata and Nozomi Shimakura, will be joining us, along with the anime’s lead voice actor, Shūichirō Umeda!

Nakata has an impressive resume, having produced some of the most popular anime series out there, including Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange, My Hero Academia, and Detective Conan: Zero’s Tea Time. He’s currently an animation producer at ytv animation, and we’re thrilled to have him at Otakon.

Shimakura is also a producer on Blue Miburo, and has worked on several other notable titles, including In the Land of Leadale and By the Grace of the Gods. She’s sure to bring her expertise and enthusiasm to the convention.

Umeda is no stranger to the world of voice acting, with roles in The Dawn of the Witch, Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie, and Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, among others. We’re excited to see him bring his talents to Otakon!

But that’s not all – Otakon 2024 has an amazing lineup of guests, including Studio Trigger president Masahiko Otsuka, animators Aoi Abe and Sae Ōtani, BL manga artist Kyōko Aiba, rock band FLOW, and manga artist Hinoki Kino. We’re also hosting voice actors Hideo Ishikawa and Uki Satake, and director Hiroshi Nagahama. And don’t forget the staff of Studio Orange, including CG director Akihiko Orikasa, director Kensuke Yamamoto, producer Yoshihiro Watanabe, and chief producer Kiyotaka Waki!
