Okaimono Panda! Anime Reveals New Cast in 2nd Video Preview
Get ready for a shopping spree with Okaimono Panda! The beloved mascot of Japan’s largest online marketplace, Rakuten, is set to star in his very own anime series, and the excitement is building! To whet your appetite, the official website has just dropped the second promo video, giving us a sneak peek at the adorable cast of characters.
New additions to the cast include Neeko as Okaimono Panda’s best bud Kopanda, Ayumu Murase as the AI robot Puchomaru, and Yuria Kōzuki as the mischievous cat Mugi who lives with Okaimono Panda.
The anime is set to premiere this fall, with Rakuten Content Central handling production duties. To celebrate Okaimono Panda’s 11th anniversary, the character’s creators are pulling out all the stops to bring this beloved mascot to life on the small screen.
According to Rakuten, Okaimono Panda has a heart of gold and always gives his best, even if it means getting into a spot of trouble due to his love of shopping. For the anime, Ikue Ōtani will reprise her role as Okaimono Panda, while Shinji Takamatsu will direct at Shinei Animation.
