Noragami team returns to produce 2025 anime Gachiakuta

The highly-anticipated manga series, Gachiakuta, has finally come to life as an anime series, and we’re excited to take you on this thrilling journey!
The three companies behind the successful anime series, Noragami, are joining forces once again to bring us Gachiakuta, created by Kei Urana and Hideyoshi Andou. The manga was published by Kodansha in Japan and has gained a massive following worldwide.
So, what’s Gachiakuta all about? Imagine a world where a young boy is accused of murder and cast off the edge of a floating city into the abyss, where he grapples with the monsters that the elite high above would rather forget. It’s a world of action, mystery, and adventure!
Meet the Creators
Kei Urana, the mangaka behind Gachiakuta, has a unique and distinctive drawing style that has captivated audiences worldwide. Her passion for storytelling shines through in every panel, and she has even collaborated with graffiti artist Hideyoshi Andou to create a visually stunning and captivating world.
The Anime Project
Director Fumihiko Suganuma, known for his work on Time Patrol Bon, A.I.C.O. Incarnation, and Godzilla S.P., is spearheading the anime adaptation. With character designer and chief animation director Satoshi Ishino on board, we can expect an unparalleled level of animation quality and attention to detail.
The Challenges
Amano, producer at studio Bones, shares his thoughts on adapting Gachiakuta into anime, stating that the original artwork is “very dense” and requires “different technologies, including 3D, to deepen the imagery and expression.” Satoshi Ishino, character designer and chief animation director, also emphasizes the importance of accuracy and faithfulness to the original manga.
