Nobunagun’s Masato Hisa’s Kamuya Ride Manga Goes Online
Buckle up for an epic adventure as LEED Publishing’s Comic Ran reveals that Masato Hisa’s fantasy manga, Kamuya Ride, is set to take its next big journey!
The September issue of LEED Publishing‘s Comic Ran magazine has revealed some thrilling news – Kamuya Ride will be moving to Comic Border website starting with its 59th chapter on September 13!
Get ready to immerse yourself in a fantasy version of ancient Japan’s Kofun period. The story picks up 200 years after the Yamato princes brought peace to the islands by defeating the earthly gods’ clans and sealing them off. But, as some try to unravel these seals, a new conflict is sparked. Kawakami Takeru, a rebel leader, has gained inhuman powers from an earthly god whose seal was broken. Prince Ousu, aka the Emperor Yamato Takeru, sets out to defeat the Kumaso with an imperial army. Along the way, he meets Monko, a mysterious peddler who can transform into the mighty Kamuya Ride!
Hisa has been thrilling readers since the manga’s launch in January 2018 in Comic Ran. The latest 11th compiled book volume was released last week!
But that’s not all! Masato Hisa and co-creator Naoki Azuma are also set to launch Ryū to Rei (Dragon & Ape) in Kodansha’s Morning magazine on August 22. Hisa’s previous manga, Nobunagun, ran from 2011 to 2015 and inspired a TV anime adaptation in 2014.
Additionally, his manga, The Weakest Contestant in All Space and Time, was released in March 2019 and ended its run in July 2020. With the second and final volume arriving in August 2020, the manga earned a license from Seven Seas in English, with the first and second volumes released in May and August 2022, respectively.
And if all that wasn’t enough, Hisa also drew the manga adaptation of the iconic Batman Ninja anime, which launched in June 2018 and concluded in September 2019.
