New anime ‘Do-Over Damsel’ reveals cast and October 9 premiere date, stars dragon emperor
Get Ready for the Royal Romp! Kadokawa has unleashed a thrilling new promotional video for the upcoming TV anime of Sarasa Nagase‘s bewitching novel series, The Do-Over Damsel Conquers the Dragon Emperor! The video spills the tea on the star-studded cast and reveals the highly anticipated premiere date – October 9th!
The anime will debut on Tokyo MX and other channels on October 9th.

The anime’s previous cast members include:
Kentarō Suzuki, known for directing Requiem of the Rose King and Angels of Death, is at the helm of the anime, produced by J.C. Staff. Atsuo Ishino, scriptwriter for Chihayafuru 2 and A Certain Scientific Railgun T, oversees the series scripts, while Sana Komatsu, known for The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3, designs the characters.
Cross Infinite World is bringing the novels to English-speaking audiences, and describes the story:
Jill is sentenced to death by her fiancé, the crown prince, but is sent back in time six years to the party where their engagement was decided. To avoid this route of ruin, Jill immediately proposes to the person standing behind her—but it’s her greatest enemy, Emperor Hadis?! Jill knows all about his future descent into evil. She quickly retracts the proposal, but the delighted Hadis takes her back to his castle and makes her a meal. Completely won over by the food, Jill makes a life-changing decision… “I’m going to reform—no, I’m going to make you happy!” It’s time to redo this life with the enemy!
Nagase began serializing the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in November 2019, and the series is ongoing. Kadokawa published the series in print with illustrations by Mitsuya Fuji in March 2020.
Anko Yuzu launched a manga adaptation of the novels in Kadokawa‘s Comp Ace magazine in July 2020. Yen Press is releasing the manga in English.
