Netflix Lists Gundam Seed Freedom Anime Film for September 1 Debut

Film opening dates announced: January 26 in Japan and May 7-8 in N. America
The wait is almost over! Netflix is bringing the highly-anticipated Mobile Suit Gundam Seed FREEDOM anime film to the United States on September 1!
But that’s not all! The film is already available to stream on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video in Japan, where it opened on January 26. And did you know it debuted at #1 in the Japanese box office, selling a whopping 634,182 tickets for 1,065,983,130 yen (approximately US$7.20 million) in its first three days?
For the first time in the United States, fans can experience the film’s action-packed adventure on the big screen! Screenings took place on May 7-8, with subtitles on May 7 and an English dub on May 8, courtesy of Bandai Namco Filmworks and Fathom Events.
Directed by Mitsuo Fukuda, with a script co-written by him, Chiaki Morosawa, and Liu Goto, and character design by Hisashi Hirai, this epic film promises to deliver the best of the Gundam franchise.
