Get ready for a wild ride as Sachi and Takara’s high school romance takes an unexpected turn! As revealed in the latest issue, the final chapter of the manga has been published, along with four spinoff chapters that will debut in the next issue on August 13.

But that’s not all – Seven Seas Entertainment, the official English publisher, describes the story:

Sachi and Takara are your average high school couple. They go to school together, hang out, and even engage in the more intimate side of dating. However, as time passes, Sachi starts to get the feeling that something isn’t right and decides to buy a pregnancy test. Later, in the bathroom of a family restaurant far from her home, she sees the two red lines that will change both her and Takara’s life forever.

Since its launch in May 2021, Aoi’s manga has been a favorite among fans, and it’s easy to see why. With its relatable characters, heart-pumping drama, and unforgettable twists, “My Girlfriend’s Child” is a must-read for anyone who loves shojo manga.

But don’t worry if you’re new to the series – you can still jump in! The ninth and final compiled book volume of the manga’s main story will be published on August 9, followed by a special 10th volume featuring the spinoff chapters on October 11. And for English readers, Seven Seas will publish the fifth volume on August 20.

To cap it all off, the manga has achieved some impressive accolades. It ranked #14 on the list of manga for female readers in Takarajimasha’s Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2023 guidebook, won the Best Shojo manga category of the 47th Annual Kodansha Manga Awards last year, and received a nomination for Best Publication for Teens in this year’s Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards.

But that’s not all – the manga also inspired a live-action series, which premiered in Japan on June 25. If you haven’t checked it out yet, what are you waiting for?
