Masahiro Anbe’s Fushigi Kenkyu-bu Manga Ends in 3 Chapters

The wait is almost over! This year’s 30th issue of Akita Shoten‘s Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine has just revealed that Masahiro Anbe‘s hit manga Atsumare! Fushigi Kenkyū-bu (Assemble! Mystery Research Club) will conclude in just three chapters! The first of these final chapters was published in the 31st issue on July 4, and if all goes according to plan, the manga will come to a close on July 18.

Join Daisuke, a directionless high school student, and his quirky classmates as they form the “Mystery Research Club” to investigate paranormal events in their town. With their combined skills and weirdness, they’ll get to the bottom of the most baffling mysteries!

Creator Masahiro Anbe is no stranger to crafting addictive manga series, having previously launched Squid Girl (Shinryaku! Ika Musume) in 2007, which went on to receive two television anime adaptations and numerous accolades.

Check out the anime adaptations of Squid Girl on Crunchyroll, HIDIVE, or Sentai Filmworks for a taste of Anbe’s unique storytelling style and quirky characters!
