Manga “Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari” concludes 10-year serialization run.

A decade of drama and romance has come to an end! The Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari (Tales of Wedding Rings) manga series, brought to us by the talented Maybe, has finally wrapped up its ten-year run in the latest issue of Monthly Big Gangan magazine. Say goodbye to the saga that began in March 2014!

Get ready for the final stretch! Square Enix has shipped the 14th volume of the series and is set to release the 15th and last volume on September 25. You can already catch up with the series digitally through Crunchyroll, which began streaming it in May 2015. And, of course, the English-licensed edition from Yen Press has seen its 13th volume released, with the 14th volume following on September 17.

The journey doesn’t end here, though! The first season of the anime adaptation, produced by Staple Entertainment, premiered in Winter 2023, and a second season is already in the works. Catch the action as it unfolds, streaming globally on Crunchyroll, with subtitles and dubs in multiple languages, minus Asia. Buckle up, because more magic is on its way!

Synopsis

A decade ago, princess Krystal Novaty “Hime” Nokanatika traveled from another world to escape the evil forces hunting her. She found a home in modern-day Japan, befriending Haruto Satou. The pair shared a promise: Haruto would forget what he’d seen, and they’d remain friends. Now, heading back to her kingdom to reclaim her royal duties, Hime departs Haruto, only to return later. When Haruto suddenly recalls their first meeting, he rushes to where Hime initially appeared and crosses the dimensional portal to reunite with her.

The arrival disrupts Krystal’s wedding to Prince Marmarugias Gisaras. When an abyss monster threatens her life, Hime decides to exchange rings with Haruto, imbuing him with powers that can vanquish the beast. Nicknamed the “Ring King,” Haruto must wed four more princesses to gain more magical abilities, only to confront the real enemy of the world: the Abyss King.
