Mamorikatana no Uta Manga to End in 2 Chapters
This year’s 19th issue of Hakusensha‘s Hana to Yume magazine announced that Keiko Sakano and Mitsuru Yūki’s manga mini-series, Mamorikatana no Uta -Mamorikatana no Ichimonji, will end in two chapters. The mini-series will likely conclude on October 5.
The story is set in Shinto Tokyou, a city where humans and monsters coexist, and follows protagonist Uta as she searches for the Makibara Clan after its staff are dismissed.
The city is plagued by disappearances, with people being spirited away, making it an intriguing premise to follow.
Sakano and Yūki began serializing the series on April 19. Meanwhile, Sakano’s earlier manga adaptation, Fiancée of the Wizard, concluded in January 2020 after four years, and has been licensed by Yen Press.
A note of interest is the creative partnership between Sakano, known for her unique artistic style, and Yūki, an expert in mythology and the occult, bringing an added layer of depth to the storytelling.
Sakano, Mitsuru Yūki’s Shonen Onmyouji series is long-running and has already completed 53 volumes.
Nakamura, meanwhile, began releasing novels under Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let’s Become Novelists) website and then shifted to manga after partnering with Kadokawa, making the end of Mamorikatana no Uta -Mamorikatana no Ichimonji another moment of excitement in an intriguing storytelling career.
