“Mahoutsukai ni Narenakatta Onnanoko no Hanashi” Unveils New Pair of Cast Members

Get ready for a magical adventure! The official website of the upcoming TV anime, Mahoutsukai ni Narenakatta Onnanoko no Hanashi (A Story of a Girl that was Unable to Become a Mage), has just dropped a major update!

Joining the magical cast are none other than Yui Horie, known for her iconic roles in Mahoutsukai Precure!, and Ayumi Mano, the talented actress from Date A Live III. They’ll be bringing Minami Suzuki and Maki Kumir to life respectively!

Directed by the genius Masato Matsune (Nanatsu no Maken ga Shihai suru) and Takashi Watanabe (Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki), this anime is set to bewitch audiences on MBS, TBS, and BS-TBS starting October 2024.

The anime’s series composition is in the capable hands of Hiroko Kanesugi (RobiHachi), with character designs by the talented Mai Matsuura (Sirius), and a soundtrack that’s sure to enchant, courtesy of Yoko Shimomura (High Score Girl).

But what makes this anime so special? It’s an adaptation of Yuzuki Akasaka’s award-winning novel, which won the prestigious Isekai Fantasy category in Project Anima’s 2018 contest. The novel itself is a sequel to Akasaka’s Isekai datte Salaryman wa Iru. and has captivated readers worldwide.

And did you know that Project Anima is a collaborative effort between DeNA, Nippon Cultural Broadcasting, Inc., Sotsu, and MBS? The project has already given birth to the critically acclaimed anime, Sakugan, and we can’t wait to see what other magic they’ll conjure up!
