Get ready to cast a spell! The official staff for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Yuzuki Akasaka‘s novel, Mahō Tsukai ni Narenakatta Onna no Ko no Hanashi, has conjured up a new promotional video! Released on Friday, this enchanting teaser reveals the anime’s October 4 premiere date, along with the opening and ending theme songs. Check out the mesmerizing visuals as the opening theme “Collage” by PUFFY ft. TOOBOE and the ending theme “Shunkan Saidai Fūsoku” (Instant Maximum Wind Speed) by halca transport you to a world of magic and wonder!

Mark your calendars! The anime will premiere on October 4 on TBS, MBS, and CBC channels at 1:53 a.m. JST (effectively, October 5), followed by its broadcast on BS-TBS at 2:30 a.m. JST.

The anime features an impressive cast of characters:

J.C. Staff is producing the anime, led by chief director Takashi Watanabe, director Masato Matsune, series scriptwriter Hiroko Kanasugi, original character concept designer Lily Hoshino, and animation character designer Mai Matsuura. Composing the music is none other than the legendary Yoko Shimomura, with Hayato Matsuo, Dai Haraguchi, and Miku Yoshikawa handling the music arrangement.

Mahō Tsukai ni Narenakatta Onna no Ko no Hanashi is a novel about a young girl named Kurumi Mirai who discovers her unfulfilled potential and struggles to grow as a wizard. Follow her journey as she navigates her newfound passion for magic and the guidance of her teacher, Minami Suzuki, in the prestigious Letran Magic and Magecraft School.

Originally announced as a winner of the Project Anima contest in 2018, Mahō Tsukai ni Narenakatta Onna no Ko no Hanashi was initially slated for a 2021 debut but has finally found its way to screens this year.
