The 2nd Anniversary Special Program for the electrifying Lycoris Recoil anime has just dropped the news – six short movies are on the way!

Shingo Adachi, the mastermind behind the original series, is back at the helm, and this time, he’s brought in some talented friends to help bring the daily lives of Chisato, Takina, and their squad to life. Each short movie will have its own unique direction and storyboarding, with character designer Imigimuru penning the scripts for some of them. Get ready to see the gang’s adventures like never before!

You might be wondering, “What’s the story behind this awesome anime?” Well, let’s start from the beginning! Lycoris Recoil premiered in the summer of 2022 with 13 thrilling episodes, and Aniplex of America brought it to North America, streaming it on Crunchyroll and dropping an English dub for our friends across the pond. And in February 2023, a new anime project was announced – the excitement just keeps building!

Lycoris Recoil marked Shingo Adachi’s directorial debut at A-1 Pictures, and he’s brought together an all-star team to bring this world to life. Asaura, the genius behind the Ben-To manga, penned the script, while Imigimuru, the mastermind behind the Kono Bijutsubu ni wa Mondai ga Aru! manga, designed the characters. And let’s not forget Shuuhei Mutsuki, who composed the music for this adrenaline-fueled ride!
