Live-Action Golden Kamuy Series to Feature 9 Ending Theme Songs
Get ready for a thrilling ride as the live-action film of Golden Kamuy manga is taking a bold step into a new frontier! The official X account has dropped a major bombshell – the upcoming live-action series adaptation, titled Golden Kamuy -Hokkaido Irezumi Shūjin Sōdatsu-hen-, will feature a different theme song artist for every episode!
The list of theme song artists is a who’s who of Japan’s rock and pop scene! You’ll also get to enjoy the earlier live-action film’s theme song “Kagayakerumono” (Those Who Shine) by ACIDMAN, which will be woven into the story instead of serving as an ending theme.
Mark your calendars for the premiere of the nine-episode series on October 6 at 10:00 p.m. JST on WOWOW. The series will continue the story from the live-action film, with the same cast and crew, and promises to deliver even more excitement and adventure.
The team behind the series includes Kenji Katagiri, Ken Ochiai, and Yōsuke Satō, who join director Shigeaki Kubo to bring this epic tale to life. Composer Yutaka Yamada will also be returning to craft the series’ soundtrack.
The film opened in Japan to a sold-out crowd, grossing over ¥533 million in its first three days! With its success, it’s no wonder the series is getting the green light.
Satoru Noda‘s Golden Kamuy manga has been a phenomenon since its launch in 2014, inspiring four anime seasons and a live-action film. And now, this exciting new series is set to take the world by storm!
