Lidia Sobieska joins Tekken 8’s roster on July 25 as its second DLC character

Get ready to rumble! Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced the release date for the highly anticipated second DLC character, Lidia Sobieska, in Tekken 8! This returning character from Tekken 7 will be available on early access on July 22 and officially launch on July 25. To celebrate, the company is streaming a new trailer with additional gameplay footage of the character. Don’t miss it!

Eddy Gordo, the first DLC character, joined the fight on April 4, and fans are eager to see what’s next. The character first debuted in Tekken 3, and those who purchased the Deluxe Edition or Ultimate Edition of the game got early access on April 1.

Tekken 8 launched on January 26 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, featuring 32 characters at launch. The game has already crossed 2 million copies in sales worldwide in February. The story of Tekken 8 takes place nearly six months after Tekken 7, and the Tekken franchise has been recognized by Guinness World Records as having the longest running narrative in video game history.

Get ready to dive into the world of Tekken with 32 playable characters, including Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, Nina Williams, and many more! The game has also added a Tekken shop with free and paid additional content, and DLC characters will have their stories expanded in a story mode. Stay tuned for more updates!

The game’s story mode will be added for the additional characters sometime in the summer, exploring how the characters were involved with the game’s main story. The stories will be explored in free expansions for the main story rather than individual character episodes.

And don’t forget to check out the Tekken: Bloodline anime series, which premiered on Netflix in August 2022, following the storyline of Tekken 3!
