Kuroshitsuji Sequel ‘Midori no Majo-hen’ Coming to TV Anime in 2025
Get ready for some exciting news, Black Butler fans! The Kuroshitsuji: Kishuku Gakkou-hen panel at Anime Expo 2024 has just dropped a bombshell: a new season titled Kuroshitsuji: Midori no Majo-hen is on the way! And we’ve got the scoop for you.
Daisuke Ono (Attack on Titan) and Maaya Sakamoto (Bakemonogatari) are returning as Sebastian Michaelis and Ciel Phantomhive, respectively, to reprise their iconic roles. Kenjirou Okada (3-gatsu no Lion) is also back at the helm, directing the new season at CloverWorks.
This isn’t just a rehash of old storylines, folks! The Kuroshitsuji: Kishuku Gakkou-hen television anime is still going strong, with 34 million copies in circulation and a new season premiering in 2025. And to get you hyped, Crunchyroll has been simulcasting the anime with subtitles as it airs in Japan.
But that’s not all! The series has a rich history, adapted from Yana Toboso’s fantasy mystery manga, which debuted in September 2006. And with Yen Press licensing the manga in English and releasing the 33rd volume, fans around the world can join in on the fun.
But wait, there’s more! A-1 Pictures adapted the manga into three seasons, an original video animation, and a movie. The latest entry in the series, Book of the Atlantic, opened in theaters in January 2017. So, buckle up and get ready for a wild ride with Kuroshitsuji: Midori no Majo-hen!
