Keiko Nishi’s manga “Sayonara Gohan” debuts on August 5.
This summer, Shogakukan‘s iconic Big Comic Original magazine is set to unleash a new manga masterpiece from the talented Keiko Nishi! Say hello to Sayonara Gohan (Goodbye Meal), hitting shelves on August 5.
The story follows a 70-year-old man who’s trying to relive the glory days of his impressive gourmet adventures.
Nishi has already proven her storytelling chops with her previous works, including the critically acclaimed Kakko Naki manga and the romantic drama Kyudo Boys. And if you’re new to her work, you might want to start with her heartwarming one-shot manga, “Kaki no Hanashi” (The Story of Persimmons).
Nishi’s passion for storytelling has led to numerous adaptations, including live-action films for her Otoko no Isshō and Otō-san, Chibi ga Inakunarimashita manga series.
