BREAKING: Kazuki Kitamura Joins the Cast of Golden Kamuy Live-Action Series!
The official Twitter account for the live-action adaptations of Satoru Noda’s Golden Kamuy manga just dropped a major bombshell: Kazuki Kitamura is joining the cast of the live-action series Golden Kamuy -Hokkaido Irezumi Shūjin Sōdatsu-hen- (Golden Kamuy: The Battle for the Hokkaido Tattooed Prisoners Arc)!
Kitamura will be playing Inudō, the ruthless warden of Abashiri Prison with a personal vendetta against Toshizō Hijikata.
The nine-episode series premieres on WOWOW on October 6 at 10:00 p.m. JST, and will continue the story from the recent live-action film. Don’t miss it!
The cast and crew are a mix of newcomers and veterans, including Kenji Katagiri, Ken Ochiai, and Yōsuke Satō, who will be joining director Shigeaki Kubo on the project.
And get this: each episode will feature a different theme song artist!
The live-action film, which opened in Japan on January 19, was a huge success, topping the box office in its first weekend and selling over 356,000 tickets.
