Jujutsu Kaisen Epilogue Confirms Big Revival, One Major Death
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 270 confirms Fumihiko Takaba’s survival and another major figure’s demise
Jujutsu Kaisen will conclude its manga series with the next chapter, and the penultimate installment has revealed a significant character survival and a major death. After six years of serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen is set to wrap up its story. The final chapters have focused on tying up loose ends after the Shinjuku Showdown arc and the fight against Sukuna.
Jujutsu Kaisen has reunited the core trio of Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, and Nobara Kugisaki, as the surviving Jujutsu Sorcerers start to return to their daily lives. However, the aftermath of the Culling Game has left Japan reeling, with revived sorcerers still roaming and those who lost their lives gone forever. This led to the revelation of a major confirmation of survival or demise.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 270: Who Dies?
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 270 confirmed the death of Megumi Fushiguro’s sister, Tsumiki, as he and Shoko Ieiri visit her grave. Tsumiki’s revived sorcerer, Yorozu, had briefly taken over her body before losing her life during the Culling Game. Megumi’s failure to protect his sister will be a burden he carries.
This struggle echoed Megumi’s depression after his body was taken over by Sukuna. His inability to protect his sister was a significant factor in his entry into the Culling Game, which ultimately ended in tragedy.
However, the chapter also brings good news as fans see the surviving Jujutsu Sorcerers, including those who entered the deadly tournament, still roaming Japan. This includes those who activated their powers within the game (like Higuruma) and those revived by the Culling Game. Yuji and Hana will now focus on separating these individuals from their abilities.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 270: Who Lives?
Among the survivors is Fumihiko Takaba, who surprisingly made it out alive after his fight with Kenjaku. Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 270 shows Takaba working on a new comedy routine with someone resembling Suguru Geto (although their face is obscured). Takaba’s survival, while unexpected, makes sense given his Cursed Technique and the comedic tone of his fight with Kenjaku.
Takaba’s “death” during the Shinjuku Showdown had a fittingly comedic ending, with Kenjaku mourning the loss of a kindred spirit. Takaba’s strength as a gag manga character, who are often invincible, also contributes to his survival. With the series now concluding, Takaba’s return to a regular life is unsurprising.
