The official Twitter account of Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine just dropped a major bombshell: Hiroshi Fukuda’s Rock wa Lady no Tashinamideshite (Rock is a Lady’s Modesty) manga is getting a TV anime adaptation in 2025! To celebrate, Fukuda drew an illustration that’s sure to get you pumped:
Rock wa Lady no Tashinamideshite takes place in an all-girls’ school where young, gorgeous, and ladylike girls from all over the country gather. Meet Ririsa Suzunomiya, a girl who gave up her guitar and love for rock music to fit in with the rich and famous. But when she meets a talented drummer at her school, her passion for rock is reignited!
Fukuda launched the manga in Young Animal in October 2022, and the fifth volume is set to release on July 29. Get ready to rock out with this exciting new series!
Fukuda is no stranger to the world of manga, having serialized his original Mushibugyō series from 2009 to 2010 and revamping the story with Jōjū Senjin!! Mushibugyō in 2011. He’s also worked on other notable series like Gofun-go no Sekai.
