An Exciting New Adventure Starts!
Sunrise and Bandai Namco Filmworks have revealed that they are working on a special project for Mobile Fighter G Gundam, titled Kidou Butouden G-Gundam Gaiden: Tenchi Tengaku. This new “special project” will be a serialized story that debuts on the official Anime website on July 5. Not much has been revealed about the exact format, but it’s sure to be an interesting addition to the G Gundam universe. Below, check out the exciting official illustration.
The story, set before the finals match of the 13th Gundam Fight, introduces five new mystery Gundams known as the “Dark Shuffle.” G Gundam animation director Yasuhiro Imagawa, writer of the popular anime series, is teaming up with Tomokazu Seki, the voice actor in the 30th anniversary version of the franchise, to create this electrifying tale.

Mobile Fighter G Gundam, first broadcast in 1994 to 1995, was the first”alternative series” in the Universal Century plot, setting all previous Gundam cartoons (except for Mobile Suit SD Gundam) outside of this history. Yasuhiro Imagawa, the renowned director of the cult classic series, Giant Robo, partnered with Fuyunori Gobu and Hiroshi Osaka at the time of production.
