Get ready to shine! The Love Live! Sunshine!! Aqours 9th Anniversary Project Presentation has just dropped a major announcement – a compilation movie for the TV anime Genjitsu no Yohane: Sunshine in the Mirror is coming our way!

Produced by the legendary Sunrise, this 13-episode anime premiered in Summer 2023 and was simulcast worldwide on Crunchyroll with subtitles. But that’s not all – the movie is set to bring the magic to the big screen!

Genjitsu no Yohane: Sunshine in the Mirror is based on the fantasy spin-off manga of the same name, created by Hajime Yatate and Sakurako Kimino, the masterminds behind Love Live! School Idol Project. The manga has been serializing in the Love Live! Days Love Live! Sougou Magazine since February 2022, featuring stunning character designs by Taira Akitsu. And get this – the third volume was released on May 30!

Synopsis:

Meet Yohane, a spirited young girl with big dreams of becoming a star. But two years later, she’s still waiting for her big break. With her mom’s help, Yohane reluctantly returns to her hometown of Numazu, where she rekindles old friendships and makes new ones. But little does she know, a mysterious power is threatening the town and its wildlife. Can Yohane find her unique purpose and save Numazu?
