Get Ready for a Hauntingly Beautiful Adventure!

Avex Pictures dropped a major bombshell during their panel at Anime Expo, revealing the main visual for Naoko Yamada‘s hauntingly beautiful original anime short film, Garden of Remembrance!

The film had its world premiere at the panel, and we’re stoked to announce that GKIDS has licensed the short film for worldwide distribution!

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Garden of Remembrance. Naoko Yamada and Science SARU first previewed the anime at Annecy International Animation Film Festival in 2022, and it later made its world premiere at Scotland Loves Anime in October 2022. The film even had a special screening at Annecy in 2023! Now, it’s set to release in Japan in 2024.

The anime’s original character designer is none other than Etsuko Mizusawa, known for her work on Hello, this is Terumi. Meanwhile, singer-songwriter Lovely Summer-chan has composed the anime’s haunting music.
