Get Ready for More Magic: Unnamed Memory Confirms Second Season!

The wait is almost over! The 12th and final episode of the Unnamed Memory anime has announced a second season, and we couldn’t be more excited! The official website has revealed a teaser visual (check it out below) and a commercial promo, giving us a glimpse of what’s to come. Unnamed Memory Act.2 is set to air in January 2025, so mark your calendars!

The first season, produced by ENGI, kicked off on April 9 and was simulcast with subtitles worldwide (excluding Asia) on Crunchyroll. For those who missed it, the series adapts Kuji Furumiya’s fantasy romance light novel, which has been a fan favorite since its launch in 2008.

But that’s not all! Naoki Etsuma’s manga adaptation has also been making waves, with the sixth and final volume released on February 26. Yen Press has licensed both the light novel and manga in English, so you can get your hands on the latest volumes.

So, what’s Unnamed Memory all about? Here’s a brief summary:

As a young boy, Prince Oscar Lyeth Increatos Loz Farsas was cursed by the Witch of Silence, rendering it all but impossible for any woman to bear him a child. After 15 years of fruitlessly seeking a way to lift the spell, Oscar resorts to enlisting the help of a different witch. To this end, he heads to the Azure Tower, home of the Witch of the Azure Moon. Ascending the tower is no easy task; for decades, no one has overcome the array of traps, puzzles, and enemies designed to repulse any challengers. Oscar, however, easily climbs to the top, where he meets the fabled witch, Tinasha. To the prince’s surprise, despite being hundreds of years old, Tinasha looks like a beautiful young woman in her late teens.

Oscar explains his circumstances to the witch, who quickly perceives the true nature of his affliction. Though she claims that undoing the spell would be tremendously difficult, Tinasha proposes a workaround—to find Oscar a partner capable of withstanding the curse’s effects.

And that’s where the adventure begins! Join Oscar and Tinasha as they navigate the magical world, searching for a way to lift the curse and find love in the process.
