Dragon Ball: Sparking! Trailer Reveals Characters from Saiyan and Namek Sagas
Bandai Namco Entertainment just dropped a brand new trailer for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, the latest installment in their iconic Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi arena fighter franchise, and it’s packed with characters from the Dragon Ball Z anime’s epic Saiyan and Namek sagas!
Get ready to rumble with the newly announced characters, including Chiaotzu, Saibaman, Cui, Dodoria, Zarbon, Super Zarbon, Nail, Frieza (in all his forms), Guldo, Recoome, and Ginyu!
The game is set to launch on October 11 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. And, as a bonus, those who pre-order the game will get to unlock six characters early! The game will also come in three special editions: Premium Collector’s Edition, Deluxe Edition, and Ultimate Edition, each with its own perks, including early access to the game three days before the official release date.
But that’s not all – the game’s roster already includes an impressive 24 characters, including Goku, Vegeta, and their various forms and transformations, as well as Gohan at different ages and forms, multiple versions of Trunks, Videl, Beerus, Whis, Master Roshi, Piccolo, Krillin, Yamcha, and many more!
The game features two exciting modes: Episode Battle, a single-player mode that lets you play as eight different characters, with choices that can lead to “what if” scenarios that deviate from the original story; and Custom Battles, where you can create your own battles with original scenes that can be uploaded online for others to fight. And, of course, there’s online multiplayer and single-player modes, as well as offline local multiplayer, limited to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber arena.
The Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi series has a rich history, dating back to 2005 with the first game, which launched for PlayStation 2. Since then, the series has seen three more installments, each with its own unique features and gameplay mechanics.
