Dark Machine Mecha Game/Anime Project Debuts Anime Pilot Trailer
The wait is almost over! The team behind the original game and anime project Dark Machine just dropped the pilot trailer for Dark Machine the Animation at Comic-Con International in San Diego, and it’s sending shockwaves through the gaming and anime communities!
Meet Kazumi Terada, the genius behind the pilot trailer’s direction, brought to life by Production +h. But that’s not all – we’re talking about a star-studded team here! Code Geass director Goro Taniguchi is credited as the creative producer, and Macross artist Hidetaka Tenjin is the chief mechanical designer. And let’s not forget the game’s creator, Keiichi Yano, who’s brought his vision to life with the help of Fuji TV.
The video above is filled with exciting details, including writing credits from “Team Carbuncle” and the anime’s unique world setting – think a popular gaming metaverse, with mech battles taking place “in the not too distant future.” And the best part? Global distribution is planned!
So, what’s the story behind it all? Well, buckle up and get ready for a thrilling tale of humankind living in an energy bubble, with underground battles brewing over the coveted Palmer crystal. But things take a dark turn when dark energy is harnessed for battle advantages, and it’s unclear whether these forces can be controlled by mechs…
And if that wasn’t enough, the game’s staff consists of industry heavyweights, including Taniguchi as the creative producer and Tenjin as the chief mechanical designer. But what really sets this game apart is its innovative use of blockchain technology and NFTs – players can collect and trade these digital assets, while also participating in decentralized tournaments. Not to mention, the game is set to release next year, with Early Access starting this year!
Tenjin, an illustrious illustrator and mechanical artist, has worked on some of the most iconic anime franchises, including Macross, Aquarion, and Gundam. And let’s not forget Taniguchi, who’s also made his mark on the anime world with notable works like Planetes, One Piece Film Red, and more.
