Campione! creator Jō Takezuki’s new manga series ‘Slow Life Ieyasu’

Get ready for a unique blend of history and humor! Shueisha‘s Young Jump magazine has just announced the launch of a brand new manga titled Slow Life Ieyasu, and it’s a real game-changer! Written by Jō Takezuki and illustrated by Tsunehiro Date, this manga follows the adventures of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Tokugawa shogunate, as he reincarnates into the modern Reiwa era and embarks on a slow life with a group of high school girls. And to make things even more exciting, the manga will feature a color opening page!

Takezuki is no stranger to the world of manga and light novels. He’s previously written the Campione! light novel series, which was adapted into a television anime in 2012. He’s also penned the Fantasy Inbound light novel series, which launched in 2020 and has since become a fan favorite.

Date, on the other hand, has a wealth of experience in the manga world. He’s previously written and illustrated the Time Paradox Ghostwriter manga, which ran in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 2020 to 2020. He’s also drawn the art for the Tokyo Wonder Boys manga, which ran in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2014.
