Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League Film Sequel Releases Trailer and Visuals

Warner Bros. Japan unleashed a tidal wave of excitement during their panel at Anime Expo, revealing the first teaser trailer, main visual, and character visuals for their brand-new Batman Ninja CG anime film, Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League!

Joining the film’s production team are Junpei Mizusaki, the acclaimed producer of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, as well as Shinji Takagi, who will direct the film alongside Mizusaki. Returning staff members include scriptwriter Kazuki Nakashima, character designer Takashi Okazaki, and composer Yūgo Kanno.

The voice cast also returns, with Kōichi Yamadera reprising his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman.

The anime film will be released digitally and on home video, featuring the Japanese audio track and an English dub. Don’t miss it!

Get ready for a showdown between Batman and the Yakuza League as the Dark Knight travels back to Japan’s Warring States period to take on villains such as The Joker, who have become feudal lords.

A manga adaptation of the anime was launched in Monthly Hero’s magazine in June 2018 and concluded in September 2019. The manga won a Seiun Award in August 2020.

The anime film has also inspired a stage play that ran in November 2021.
