The legendary developer behind the classic Kunio-kun series is back with a new installment that’s set to bring the wild antics of over 100 River City characters to the battlefield! The story picks up where the previous game left off, with a thrilling adventure that will take you on a mad dash towards the climax of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel.

“Join Kunio, the beloved River City ruffian, as he takes on the role of the hero of the Three Kingdoms, Guan Yu, and joins the hot-blooded battle over the nation,” says Arc System Works.

This will be the finale of the River City Saga: Three Kingdoms story. Get ready for an epic conclusion!

River City Saga: Three Kingdoms has already made waves in Japan, launching for Switch in December 2021 and for PS4 and PC via Steam in July 2022. The English version launched in July 2022, and now it’s your turn to join the fun!

Technos Japan first released the Kunio-kun series in May 1986, and since then, the series has had numerous installments. You might know some of the games from their altered titles, visuals, and stories, such as River City Ransom, Renegade, and Crash ‘n’ the Boys: Street Challenge.

Arc System Works acquired the rights to a number of Technos Japan games, including Double Dragon, Super Dodge Ball, River City Ransom, and Kunio-kun games, in June 2015.
